Vanessa Porter | Jessica Porter – percussion

The audio-visual project DIS:JUNCTION combines works for percussion duo with improvisation and contemporary dance.
Together with the two dancers Daura Hernández García and Stephanie Roser, Jessica and Vanessa Porter have developed a program that deeply explores a disjunction – the „neither-or“ – in our society and in our musical culture.

With a great passion for new sound combinations, different color changes and strong rhythmic structures, the four women will improvisationally and compositionally present their new program.

Change, isolation, loneliness, hope, cohesion are reflected performatively in DIS:JUNCTION and refer to an enormous social conflict that we all perceive in various forms and emotions.
